Bitter Sweet

So yesterday was bitter sweet for me. Kardelle went to her first school dance (Valentine's) with a young boy. Luckily he is her same age. 4 days older, she told me. His name is Hayden and for the rest of the evening last night that's all we heard about. Hayden this and Hayden that... Hayden, Hayden, Hayden. Boy oh boy (and literally) it all happens way too fast. I don't know if I am ready for this stage of life. I know that my own Mother could have killed me and hung me in a closest somewhere for at least 6 to 7 years.
Kardelle and her so called Valentine's "Date" also got their picture taken at the dance. She was so excited to have a souvenir from this so called "Date" but was a little upset about it because just as they were getting it taken a friend of theirs jumped in. Not to cool on her part if you ask me.
I had to keep reminding Kardelle that it was sooooo not a "Date". Dubby and Kenza of course had to jump in on that one to and put their two cents worth in also. I had to tell her that it was just a "After school get-together where boys could possibly show up kind-of dance!" She didn't fall for it. I guess that I am going to have to come up with something better in the future. I guess next time we could have Kody drop her off or pick up her next "Date" in the Police Cruiser and maybe tell her and him that he will be watching them over his P.A. system so that everyone can hear. That might halt things for a while. Oh the things we can do to our kids... my mind is running with fun ideas as I write this... Hummmm?
Anyways, I am happy for her. Her first crush. How sweet and cute! I am just trying not to feel too old. I don't want any grey hairs yet, not ready for that!!! But like life... We'll see.

Lillie & Her 3 Day Old Puppies

Lillie is doing such a great job at being a mom. They are all doing well.

My dog Lillie had her puppies on New Years Eve. She had 4 boys. They are sooo cute. We have had so much fun just watching them squirm around and squak for their mom. We are excited to finally have them here.

Boys Will Be Boys.

Dubby and Bracken have started Wrestling for Clearfield High (Home Of The Falcons) They do wrestle in there own age brackets. They are having the most fun. They do pretty OK for just beginning and learning the right techniques. They have been Pinned, Taken Down, Smashed, Squashed, Bruised and Beaten, but they have not let it get them down nor do they want to quit. I am very proud of them. They come home to see how they can get their sisters pinned to the ground and use what they have learned for the day. Now, their sisters are not liking this at all, especially when they get knocked down and pinned without their knowlege of this going to happen. We have had a few cat fights reguarding the girls. Reguardless, the girls are now starting to watch their backs just a little closer. Boy, having kids is so entertaining. I love it!

What a Cutie!

How can anyone resist saying "NO" to this sweet face. You just can't. He is so stinkin' cute. BO-BO the clown.

KARDELLE AND HER NEW BRACES

Kardelle had got her new braces on and I thought that she has done a fantastic job. I think that she looks so cute, even with all the druelling. She has a lot of mouth and jaw pain and she complains of her mouth feeling like hamberger, but she did great! I am super proud of her. I know that we have a long road ahead of us and a few more kids to go through this, but we will survive. Love you, Kardelle!!!
